The Grays used a rare offensive weapon on Sunday to defeat the Rangers, 13-8. Two home runs, a two-run shot by Kevin Brunner and a three-run shot by Mike Arnold, powered the Grays to their seventh victory of the year to maintain their hold on first place in the division. The Grays’ 14 hit attack was led by Tom Hopkins and Mike Darwin, who each collected three hits on the day. The Rangers offense was led by Mark Tyler’s three hits. Brian Dostalek earned the victory on the mound for the Grays, pitching the first five innings.

Two Lawn Boys Pitchers Combine To Shutout Jobu
- Lawn Boys defeated Jobu 12-0 on Sunday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Ian Andrews induced a fly out from James Klintworth to finish off the game.
- Anthony Wussow led Lawn Boys to victory by driving in four runs. Wussow went 3-for-4 at the plate. Wussow drove in runs on a in the first, a single in the third, a single in the fifth, and a single in the sixth.
- Lawn Boys got things moving in the first inning.
- Lawn Boys put up five runs in the fifth inning. Lawn Boys‘s offense in the inning came from singles by Wussow, Garrison Draves, Diego Villalobos, and Jim Malewitz.
- One bright spot for Jobu was a single by Brandon Campbell in the second inning.
- Trevor Meier was the winning pitcher for Lawn Boys. The fireballer allowed three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six. Andrews threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
