Early Lead For Los Banditos Sets Stage For Victory Over A’s
- Los Banditos jumped out to an early lead over A’s and took home a 15-5 victory on Sunday. Los Banditos scored on a sacrifice fly by Owen Christenson in the first inning, a single by Jim Malewitz in the second inning, and a single by Bryant Przybilla in the second inning.
- After A’s scored two runs in the top of the fifth, Los Banditos answered with two of their own. A’s scored when Train singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run and Dan Hauter singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Los Banditos then answered when Isaac LaRonge singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
- Los Banditos notched four runs in the eighth inning. Los Banditos batters contributing to the big inning included Scott Johnson, Christenson, and Anthony Wussow, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
- Trevor Meier was the winning pitcher for Los Banditos. The hurler went six innings, allowing three runs on nine hits and striking out five. Jake Byers and Ian Andrews entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
- Dierke took the loss for A’s. The bulldog went five innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits and striking out three.
- Los Banditos totaled 16 hits in the game. Przybilla, Wussow, Johnson, and Nick Bower each had multiple hits for Los Banditos. Wussow and Przybilla each managed three hits to lead Los Banditos.
- A’s scattered ten hits in the game. Train, Hauter, and Kennedy all managed multiple hits for A’s.
